See http://finance.gridcoin.us/finance/forum_thread.php?id=2868. If your account is "not found", you probably want to grab your current credit & RAC from BOINCstats and/or Free-DC right now before they get lost, create your account from scratch, and remove/add the project to your hosts from scratch (also see below for my experience with that), while losing the credit for any tasks that have currently accumulated but not yet uploaded or currently crunching on your hosts which cannot be uploaded anymore into your new account.

To further confuse the issue, I don't know if you want to do all that now, since their admin might end up following up on this advice, which would then make your new work go to the bitbucket. Your call. I made my changes before this last post showed up...

Willy: Also, my experience in detach/reattach: Doing it via BAM! didn't work. Using the project's hosts page on BAM!, unchecking the project from all hosts, and then manually sync'ing all hosts with BAM! worked mostly in removing the project, except for one host. Then adding the project to the hosts via the BAM! web and rerunning manual sync with BAM! on the hosts didn't add the right thing. In the EVentLog I saw complaints about the account key not being found etc. So, on each of my hosts, I actually had to
  • File/Exit BOINCMgr,
  • search for all "*finance*" under the ProgramData/BOINC folder,
  • delete all of them,
  • edit client_state.xml with WordPad,
  • carefully remove the <project>...</project> section that referred to this project with "finance" in the url entry,
  • restart BOINCMgr,
  • do a manual Add Project, and
  • add "finance.gridcoin.us/finance".

Only that brought the right sort of information into my client. Even after that, running a manual sync with BAM! didn't set the misc flags (Attach, New tasks, etc.) for the project/host pairs correctly on BAM!; I had to manually (un)check them on the web to make them the same as on my hosts. I have not further tested if changes made on the web will now travel to the hosts during syncs and vice versa; next time...

Also, keep in mind that there is a ton of censoring and some banning going on. Looks like if you speak your mind there is a very strong chance it will be hidden or you will be banned. Heaven forbid people not be pleased with a poorly ran project...

Also, a caution. Before their server crashed I had a phone call from a friend that lets me borg his rig. This project had ate up 25GB+ of HDD space. Resetting did not fix it but a project removal/reattach did. So, just keep an eye out for hiccups. Apparently they are claiming to be an Alpha project now that they have had such a rough time making things stable. It would be nice if things were actually posted on the site...

I lost my account after this crash.

So, I added it manually from Gridcoin Finance website. Unfortunately, I got not same CPID as in my other projects. What I am able to do? How I can change my CPID in Gridcoin Finance project?

If you are attached to Gridcoin Finance and a few other projects, the CPID will adjust itself. Give it a few days to work itself out that way.

If interested in GridCoin and the recent problems with trying to connect to it using BAM!, please read https://boincstats.com/en/forum/18/10578,1#139519.

When the project lost my account, I remade one manually, removed GRC Finance from BAM!, then readded and everything was working. Now, I'm getting the message that no new tasks will be allowed and project will get removed on tasks finishing. This won't go even when I remove/readd. Any help will be nice.

Thanks.

Edit: Disregard this.

I got message from BoincStats, about retiring and reactivating this project. Looks like this way not worked, because today I still getting message about invalid account key. I added this project to my hosts manually before and it worked, but now after remove/readd project is not working anymore....

Read the latest from Willy on https://boincstats.com/en/forum/18/10578,1#139550.

Unfortunately, the way GF crashed and then "recovered" wasn't the right way things were supposed to happen. So, Willy is just trying to do what he can from BOINCstats' point of view to make the registrations right.
