Downloaded 5.8.11 client for both PC and Mac today, since then i have noticed a few projects (Climate, Einstein and Seti) have been getting this error a few times.

Anyone else having this issue?

It's a bogus error, nothing is going wrong. The application is quitting because BOINC asked it to, not because of an error. The message just shouldn't appear.

Apparently fixed on 5.8.12, but alpha testers recently reported they still get it on some cases.

I left my CPU on at work, there are 4 of these errors since last night when i was here... Its not happening on 5.8.8 anyhow.. As long as theres nothing wrong.. i'll leave it!

Ive upgraded all my CPU's to 5.8.11.. the message is now happening on lots of projects...

strange but its happening....

5.8.11 is where the problem started happening! I think the fix was on 5.8.12.


EDIT: Please download 5.8.15 and see if it still happens. I saw reports on boinc_alpha mailing list of the message still appearing, although in less circumstances, on versions 5.8.12 and 5.8.13. Maybe it's not quite fixed yet
