With Rosetta, you can define the run time, 1-24 hours.

PrimeGrid (only the PSP Sieve, TSP, GCW subprojects)
Rosetta (you can set the time to 1 hour)
SHA-1
Spinhenge
Genetic Life
Enigma
Lattice (HMMPfam subproject only)
NQueens
Ibercivis
Hydrogen (limited work)
Pirates (very, very limited work!)
Gerasim (a bit of an odd project)
Ramsey

A few projects have WUs that complete in about 15min or less, or at least when running specific applications:
  • IBERCIVIS (Docking, Materiales16, materiales24)
  • Malaria (Map Predictor)
  • PrimeGrid (TPS)
  • WEP M+2
  • Virtual Prairie
  • Almere Grid
  • BCL

If I may add my two cents: on Prime Grid the PSP Sieve and GCW Sieve tasks are very short, too - at least when using Linux or Windows under 64-Bit Editions.

PS Off-topic: I loooooove the new WYSIWYG editor!!!

I would point out that WEP is *nix only IIRC, VP is dead in the water, Almere is just plain mad stuff, and BCL is *nix only

No, it isn't.

Ah, thanks for noticing - they've added a Win app 6 days ago! Now they only have to add WUs!

I'd like to try and reply to this, but the quoting is completely broken! I'll raise a bug and try and reply with manual hacking.

Ah! Got it now! Nested quoting doesn't work in the preview window

Hehe! They were only minutes away from production status a month ago, despite the fact that every single last WU failed with a comp error

Small question. All answers to this point seem to be dealing with length of time a work unit runs. Is that what you are wondering, or are you wondering about download/upload sizes?

Time to renew the list. For my burn-in systems I need short workunits, under an hour on an average machine (2GHz Athlon/Phenom/Core2). I run PrimeGrid (certain subprojects) but I need a backup project/

Malaria takes well over an hour, ABC used to be shorter than one hour but they run for over two hours now. I'd like to run something useful when possible.

Any ideas?

All the projects listed below take less than 1000s or so for the specified applications. PrimeGrid (TPS & PPS) is the only project with plenty of WUs all the time though. For Linux only, you could try WEP M+2 too.

SHA-1 should run around 20 minutes - but credits are quite low.

Spinhenge should run about an hour @2.0GHz on Windoze, and they currently have ~140,000 WUs ready to go. Again, credit is not the best, but they usually have plenty of work.
