Hi all: My primary system is a intel quad core Q6600. I have been running WCG and generally have less than 2,000 points per day - what is the best project to run - to get the most points/day?

Mark:

To really make some points, you should consider GPU crunching.

. . . as far as the individual projects, check out this link.

. . . but you will probably tire quickly of the drama and poorly run projects and return to WCG.

I agree with Sid, this is my experience after recently starting to crunch with a gpu.

I have to disagree, there are PLENTY of projects out there that pay good w/o any issues what-so-ever.

I have had excellent luck with PrimeGrid. ABC will pay great on your Q6600 if your using a 64 bit OS. and Aqua runs great and very stable also. All 3 of these projects are simple to attach and crunch with out any special instructions needed.

***However like both have said before me...

GPU crunching is where the credits really are. If you want no headaches and 99% work availability I would recommend GPUGRID

Yeah, and WCG plays so nice with BAM!

If you are just interested in Credits per Day you should run "PrimeGrid 312 Prime Search Sieve" it make 30/1000 Credits per Second on my Q9650 with 3.6GHz.
Milkyway@Home with an optimized client make between 20 and 40 /1000 CpS.
ABC and AQUA ~25/1000 CpS.
Einstein, Seti, WCG and so on are only at ~5/1000 CpS :-(
Have a N.I.C.E. day!
