I was wondering if anyone knows at about what % the trickles usually happen. I got my first at about 85000 seconds and figured if i doubled it that would be about when I would get my second trickle. So after doubling I figured it would be around 48 hours. I'm on 1.35% and about 50 hours now and still no trickle. I'm going to keep letting BBC run till I get my next trickle to change projects for a little while.

If anyone knows please do tell me. Thanks

You get a trickle every year at the beginning of December - if you look at the graphics you can see which date your model is currently on.

Every day contains 72 timesteps and there's 30x12 days in a CPDN "year", so 25920 timesteps per year. Multiple this by your average seconds-per-timestep (sec/TS) and you can see how much run time it takes to complete a year. You can get your s/TS figure from the last trickle on the BBC CCE account pages.

A BBC CCE model is 160 years long, so each trickle will be about every 0.625% I guess.

Once you've uploaded a trickle, it takes a while to appear in your account and earn you credits.

Yeah I read that from the BBC website. Still no trickle. It's been about 3-5 hours since it should have sent the trickle. Maybe it's becuase I'm on dial-up. I still hit update but nothing. I'm currently 1.46% completed, Timestamp 60489 of 4147560, and on 01/04/1923 and still no trickle. I guess if I don't reacive one soon I will just have to wait for the next year then if nothing move back to one of my other projects for a while till it does send a trickle. Thanks.

Ok so turns out that it did send the tricke it just took longer thank I expected. First one was at 25,920. Second at 51,840. Third will be at 77,760 so about 17,000 more to go till I get there. Lots of work to be done.

The BBC project has been closed to new members for a while. Anyone wishing to crunch climate models should attach to cpdn where there's now a choice of workunits.
