Hey Frank its worthless and meaningless to try to explain to the champion of CPP (Saenger) that he is in the minority .....the majority either doesn't care or believes that each project should stand alone....this is why I give up replying to these types as they are no different than religious zealots.....we are the heathen to them and our opinion doesn't count.

i wouldn't waste a single cycle on that. its just not letting them spoil the whole world with their childish ideas.

Willy, can you please do the same as you have done with FreeHAL with this other project that gives random credit for no work done?

Willy did nothing with the FreeHAL stats. The project itself reset them.

they are in the stats. it's you who want's to compare projects - which is a silly attitude by itslef.

If comparing projects is silly, why is there such thing as "BOINC combined credit" in BOINCStats?
Not running BOINC anymore for several reasons...

Don't argue with the credit jerks, they are not capable of reasoning

to aggregate data does not mean you have to compare them. but you can easily see, that people talking about a single project spoling the whole credit system, are bullshitting.

how can a project which grants not even one percent of daily credits spoil anything on the whole system?

If you add credits from different projects to form a total, you're assuming they are in the same measuring unit...

If MilkyWay gives more credits and Saenger "compares" its credits with other projects, that's "silly attitude", but adding MW credits to other projects' credits isn't?

no i don't - i know, you know and everyone else knows that there is no single project granting the same credit any other one does. not a problem to me. same thing as with my gasoline consumption. on average i need about 8 liters/km. our old porsche needs 15, the subaru 9, my big bike takes 7 and that scooter runs under 4. not much sense in comparing them, because they all are used for differnt purpose - but interesting to add the bills..

So with most of your cars you drive from pump to pump and with the Porsche you have to walk the last kilometer to the next pump multiple times?

I'd get newer, better cars that do multiple kilometers on one liter.... not multiple liters per kilometer.

you got it - i'm not that silly to expect them to have the same milage, because i don't like walking.

you never had an air-cooled porsche (allmost free of any electronic GAGA), or you wouldn't come up with that..

I've used Boinc for a long time.
Always use seti@home.
A few days ago i add Milkyway@home.
Boinc should switch between every hour between seti & milkyway.

But the last 2 days it's only working for milkyway@home. Seti@home isn't calculating anymore, because milkyway@home is contstantly using boinc.

How can i configure boinc manager (Linux Ubuntu 64bit) so that milkyway@home & seti@home share 50%-50% computer power?

It seems to be solved with the boinc update of today(or was it yesterday).
After Ubuntu boinc update i see boinc calculating for seti.
