Cosmology@Home is atm in the phase of testing WUs and applications for the clients! A user registraition is limited up to Monday (11.06.2007) only by existing invite codes by the Cosmology@Home team! There was a huge croud who want to be tester...

Thanks to everybody for such a tremendous showing of support for testing Cosmology@Home. I've had more than enough requests to help with testing at this point, so for now, registration is closed again.

They implemented stats, and ask for testing and complaints. I would see this as a go ahead for addition here

Cosmology introduced a new web design. Looks great IMHO.

Also some credits adjustments were made:
8/17/07 @ 10:22 AM CST - Lower Credit for CAMB WUs

50 credit will be awarded from now on for CAMB WUs instead of 60 credits.

Ah, the web design was not that badly broken in FF... but they switched back to the old layout until all things are fixed.

Cosmology is Open-Alpha, account creation open, but whith a hurdle:

For those who can't wait until Beta begins, we have opened up registration for the current Alpha stage of Cosmology@Home. Registration through the boinc client is still disabled, so go to the account creation page for more information.

You are very welcome to join as an alpha tester, but we ask for your understanding that we are still in the early testing stages. You can have a look at the message boards to get more information about the state of the project.

If you are willing to tolerate some bugs as we are getting ready for beta testing you are welcome to join at this early stage.

From the forum over there:
It looks like I've finally got the stand-alone version of CAMB running on all of the platforms. Since our Beta release is fast approaching, we need to start testing this app immediately.

This app requires different result template files and I am not sure that it will work with the older template files. Therefore, I need to let the queue run down a bit before I hand out the new app version.

Therefore, I've canceled all unsent WUs (i.e. WUs that have not been committed to a platform yet) and turned off the WU generator. At around 5 PM CST tomorrow, I will cancel all outstanding WUs, hand out the new app version, and start creating the new work.

This should give people time to complete the result they are on and send back the result. If the result isn't back by 5 PM CST tomorrow, you will not receive credit, so make sure to manually sync with the server before then if you have to.

For now, I recommend that you cancel all WUs that you cannot complete by the aforementioned deadline. I realize that this will almost certainly cause people to lose credit, but it needs to be done.

Post here if you have any questions/concerns/comments.

Cosmology@Home now went to Beta stage. The invitation code is no longer needed. Account creation is open to anyone.
