You may try to contact project admin.

But before you do, it may be worth reading his latest post on forum
Project will have only small amount of work now and will go public not before too long anyway.

How do people find out about these new projects so early? Is there a mail list, message board, or something else that I don't know about?

Alpha Testers Anonymous

Ah! The C@H thread. Familiar with it (but can't post because I can't attach). That also seems to be a place where everyone seemed to congregate... But how did everyone find it before it was closed off?

What?

Do I have BO?

Edit: Okay, I'm an idiot for not figuring out how to attach to C@H. But at least give me credit for finding out how in a non-standard place....

There will continue to be a steady stream of 5 WUs per core for the next few weeks. The announcement I made on the message board was just to tell people that if they have other crunching priorities at the moment, now would be a reasonable time to bow out. I hope to keep most of the testers as regular crunchers in the long term though. Please?

Anyone who wants an invitation code is welcome to PM me through this message board, or to use the contact details available via the project web pages. I'm hoping that I'll be in a position to be able to open membership quite soon though.

Off topic, thanks for including our stats Willy. It's actually easier to get some types of information through this site than by using the server logs! Great site. ;-)

APS@HOME is now open for new accounts.

COME one, come all.

Firday July 6 2007 is KABOOM Day. Server load test.

APS@HOME is a research project that uses Internet-connected computers to do research into the effects of atmospheric dispersion as it relates to the accuracy of measurements used in climate prediction. More details are in the APS@HOME Science message board, and we may be diversifying into other areas of atmospheric science soon.

Here's the APS forum thread about James testing the server today with special KABOOM workunits - short and easy to run. He needs maximum workunit traffic today Friday.

As an invitation code is no longer needed, next week I'll contact MERKO to see if he'd agree to renaming this thread on BoincStats with a now more suitable title.
