FWIW, the admin said they have enough testers for now, and aren't letting more join.

Sorry. I didn't know I didn't need to ask about it. It was talked about on einstein@home, so I thought it was already out there.

The Admin (yoyo) posted it himself in his open team forum, not in a restricted area, so he must be aware of this.
And as his team (rechenkraft.net) is one of the biger ones, with a lot of ATAs (Alpha Testers Anonymous, imho he himself is one as well), he must have been aware about the spreading of the news. That's why he implemented the invitation code before going public. And he has no useful application now, he's just testing with the stuff from Berkeley, no need to waste CPU-cycles on this.

Once the real project is on the shelf he will probably discard the invitation code, but I would not expect this too soon.

Hmmmm... let me guess you're already in the club.
See Saengers explanation in the below post... ATA*s pop up in every new project.

Well sure, but the admin himself posted the URL in the Einstein forum, so I figured it was fair game at that point.

Great! Can it be added to BAM too?

Also, FYI, the Mac applications (both PPC and Intel) do not work.

Like with BelgianBeer@Home, my guess is Willy won't add it until there is useful work going on.

Why do you think no useful work is going on? It is counting OGR now.

Yoyo started with the Uppercase and wrapper delivered by Berkeley, but he quite soon wrapped OGR in the Berkeley wrapper (with a little help from some friends).

He's now loking for a method to get the results sent back under the name of the real cruncher and not just for yoyo@home.

We have the project's approval to publish stats. Can it please be added to BOINCstats and BAM now?

It's already in some stats, here at dnet for example in the stats of OGR, the wrapped up project he's crunching, and yoyo has given the permission do use it in his forum.

Team creation isn't working very well on the new URL - it generates dozens of errors - although it does actually create the team in the end.

And the RSS feed on the new URL has bad dates (31 Dec 1969) for all news items.
