Will Lattice and Orbit be supported by BOINCstats? Or are they not exporting XML yet?

Lattice is already supported (find the link in their forum, the want to stay hidden for a while).

Orbit will be supported as soon as they export XML, but before that, they need to get an application and some work out of their doors.

Willy,

I've got stats for lattice visible on the hidden page for Lattice Stats. These are not visible on my normal page if I do a search for my username. Is that supposed to happen? It seems like if I have stats reported for the project, it still ought to show up on my personal stats, and in my overall BOINC counts. Is this possible, or do they need to remain separate for now?

Yep. Hidden means hidden. If I show them in the sigs, or in the details stats, it aint hidden anymore

OK, just checking. I figured it might not be hidden to someone who had stats on the project already, but I guess it's not like we're logging in to see those stats.

Thanks for all the work, and looking forward to the public roll out of these projects on their own sites and on BOINCstats.

October 21, 2005
In the last month, we've not been able to work on orbit@home on a daily basis for various reasons, but still some important results have been achieved. The most important improvements to orbit@home are the result of the collaboration with Pan-STARRS (http://pan-starrs.ifa.hawaii.edu/public/) researchers in order to be ready to analyze their observations as soon as their survey starts (first light for PS1 prototype is scheduled for early 2006) and the observations are made publicly available. This requires substantial science-code development, and the results so far are extremely positive. As the first wave of WU demonstrated, the code based on ORSA works correctly on remote clients (only Linux platform tested for the moment). In order to provide WUs on a daily basis, we are developing a science-database and the relative management code. This will take a fair amount of time, about two more months of work. For this reason, the beta phase will be postponed to early 2006. Clients for Windows and Mac OS X will be provided as soon as the scientific application is considered sufficiently stable on the Linux platform. All the clients will be provided and tested during the alpha phase, to fix all the major problems before the beta phase.

So I've got to wait some more time with my windoze machine, but at least I'm joined by the *uxes this time

Hello Willy,

I've just been over @Neil and he's got Lattice in his sigs. Not that anything is happening there since quite a while, but I like my credits stated.

Do you know of any policy shift from the people @Lattice, or the reason, why Neil decided to put them in the open?

As far as I know, Lattice still wants to remain hidden. But I haven't heard or seen anything from them in ages.

So I really don't know if it's OK to show the stats.

I'd like to add that although hidden, I also retired the project

So stats for Lattice are old.

I actually don't expect much of them anymore.

"I'm not sure what the current discussion is about, but all Lattice statistics should be considered meaningless at the moment, and credit totals will be reset when we re-launch.

Thanks,

Adam"

As with Sänger I would like to see my 1052 credits included in the overall, even if its lattice alpha or pre alpha.

And on another note, Anybody know anything about Alife, i got 3817 credits waiting on that.

regards

Alife doesn't want to be included on the stats pages, not even on this one

To prevent this he (it's a one man project) also refused to export XML.

Just checked the Alife page, it's down.

So I think you can kiss those credits goodbye.

Thought everything was dead.

I will always just mentally add the credits to mine and check where the total should put me in overall world rankings.....

And something new, after soooo much time:
April 17, 2007 Hello, Everybody!
We've noticed you found the site. We are currently working on polishing up the site's features, so expect changes and things to break. We've disabled account creation and client connections for the time being. We may or may not reply to message board posts. And it's uncertain when real work will be flowing through the system again, but we'll keep you posted... Sincerely, The Lattice Project Team.

Any chance of adding Lattice to BAM, so that those that already have accounts can use it to reattach when the time comes?

Cool! Note that Lattice changed their URL, too, so you might want to change any of the hidden references you might have for grabbing their stats, linking to their site, etc.

They do not export stats yet.... I have some very old XML files though.

And I need to think about the correct reactivation procedure, because stats are frozen. I think I need to add the missing months, otherwise the long history is wrong.
