As I said before, IMO, projects whose stated goals are illicit should not be supported. If one still wants to crunch for one, one can always attach one's systems manually. Of course, Willy owns BAM and I just use it.

Not much in the forum. Did the project admin gave permission to add it here?

I just asked for explicit permission.

It will be added when the admin gives the OK. The projects' description will contain a warning to read the projects' goals before joining.

I agree. Is there a standards test for the authenticity of a project that wants to use BOINC for testing? If not, then any of the
identy theive's groups could setup shop and use to thousands of computers to process IDs. Or some other illicit project. I would
not knowingly join a project that was using DC to preform illicit processing. I stick to the real science projects as best as I can.

We (the BOINC community) are pretty good at pointing out projects that do "bad" things. When found they get a warning alongside their name here. Fortunately, there aren't many such projects.

There is one category of projects that do not make it into the stats and BAM! and those are the ones that have no purpose (f.e. running uppercase).

Meanwhile the goal of this project has changed.

RSA Lattice Siever (2.0) switched to factoring integers of mathematical interest.

Looks like the admin has problems with the stats, the news from the front site, two days before your request:

Stats problem
Hi, I am aware that the stats are no longer exported on http://boinc.unsads.com/rsals/stats . I am working now on getting them back, I don't know why the update_stats binary does not work anymore since the upgrade. This will be resolved in the upcoming days, please don't send me messages saying "please fix the stats". I am working on it, I know the problem, but I'm short on time. Regards squalyl

Yeah, he fixed it that same day. That post implies that he is okay with people using the stats. But I am also asking for explicit approval.

Hi Willy,

I know you already added this project to BAM and the stats. And thanks for that! But just for the record, we have approval now.
