Looks like Goldbach's conjecture project recently started the testing phase. Does anyone have any information about this project?

Thank you for your time

been running it for about 2 days now, tiny test wu's. easy to burn through the daily quota of 1000 tasks. fairly low credit on average but i've seen worse.

Hi

Much information can be found here:

http://goldbach.pl/goldbach_weak_conjecture_info_en.php

I'm working on a newer application. Currently the project works on the test application.

Sorry for my English.

Stats are here: http://goldbach.pl/stats/

Owner/admin of this project already sent consent to the publication.

About 9:00 UTC+0:00 offline? Impossible :/

At night you may have problems with access as the backups are performed.

I've learned that nothing is impossible, and it's not always your fault that your server is unreachable (for example: hosting provider has problems with routing, power, heat etc, been there, done that).

Believe me, your project was down for about five minutes .

You might want to try DynaPing to keep track of your uptime.

I would have to be interested in this project.

How do you have some time to add the GCP to statistics?

Isn't one of the rules to add a project to BAM that it's got a meaningful application? Goldbach's is still the example application "upperCASE" that comes with BOINC sources...

No big deal. It's just a matter of time, when the real app gets rolled out.

I've stopped running this Project for now because the Server is way over taxed and unresponsive, also the Wu's mess up your PC & the other Projects running with all the Uploading/Downloading it has to do because of the shortness of the Wu's. Ever time a Wu needs to Upload BOINC stops & say's it can't connect to the Server & the other Projects your running Suspend too until BOINC can connect again. Plus your not doing any real work anyway but just running Test Wu's from what I can see.

That should be the first reason to say no to crunching it...
Not running BOINC anymore for several reasons...

@Rysiu: is that so?

Yes, it is.
I also think it would be good if credits were reset when the real app gets out. Otherwise a lot of people would have a lot of credits for having crunched nothing useful in the past.

Testing a new project including:
hardware, database, connections, database load, upload/download capacity, boinc server applications with a lot of clients not usefull ??

Sure, it's as useful as looking for drugs to cure diseases.

Sigh... this stupid credit system...

Also, you can test all those server-side things without using any CPU time client-side.

How many projects began from nothing?

How many projects do not publish any results?

How many projects will never publish anything?

How many projects does nothing?

It is easy to criticize.

Problem is all those do not, never will, does nothing type Projects take CPU-GPU Time away from the Projects that do, will & does something type Projects. BOINC is becoming more & more Diluted with all the Me Too Type Projects. There's only so many Participants and so much CPU-GPU Power to go around & every time another Me Too Type Project Pops up it takes away from the other Projects.

I E-Mailed you Personally on how to improve the Project & others have made suggestions in the Forum but nothing has been done is the reason I stopped running the Project & why a lot of other Participants have too it looks like from the low Stats turn out.
