The project website is simply a blank page. Nothing there. Basically one step better than a 404 error.
Last XML was from 2015-02-10.
BOINC doesn't have it in the Add Project list.

For some reason climate@home hasn't disconnected from my client and since I added it via BAM I can't disconnect it via BOINCManager. I assume there is a way to delete every climate@home data in the BOINC directory including the entries in the XML files, but I believe there is a easier way. Do you have any suggestions?

I can relate to that for you need to Stop Using BOINCStats/BAM than Detach from the project. After which you need to Attach to BAM again. At one stage, you could just Synchronize with BAM and that used to remove retired projects. It does not seem to do that anymore.

My bad, I made a typo somewhere, corrected that, the project should now be removed by BAM!.

Never mind. The project has disappeared now.
