Two of them one for 1.5M and another for over 200K. How can this be? the work was done but the credits were lost.
Flies in the face of reason.

Somehow need to retain credit for retired projects, if in fact this is what is going on,

If a project retires, it is simply retired. No more work is available for the project.

Why is credit disappearing?

It would help if you would post what projects you saw this behavior in...

I cannot say as I know not which projects have retired. I know that when I go thru my list of projects in BOINC, several have retired. SkyNet is one such. There are at least 5 projects in which I have participated in that are no longer active. If a project retires (Founder graduates, no one picks up the ball, interest dies on campus.....) why is credit deleted?

Whatever the issue was, it is NOW NOT THERE. NO NEGATIVE CREDIT DAYS ARE SHOWING UP. GOOD

Confusing as all get out. Looking back at History I see at least 3 days with NEGATIVE credit. Yet, today, Overall Rank and Country Rank went way up,

The only way is see this to happen is that the negatives where backed up when Overall Rank and Country Rank were calculated

Well, without knowing the stats you are referencing I am willing to guess it was a bad stats export from one of your projects. BOINCStats does not remove your points when projects get "retired". I know every time GoofyxGrid NCI goes down, there is usually a database issue causing points to go haywire. There was such a case recently that caused several to lose millions of points each. ClimatePrediction has had stats problems for a long while. Those are just 2 examples. So, without more details I doubt anyone can answer your question. You could go through each of your projects and look at the last 40 days of results. You may find the details you are looking for there.

I say again, several other of my fellow countrymen are suffering the same fate, Negative contribution. Many others have a more severe problem than I have

And I say again, if there is a loss of points, then you should see a drop in one of your projects. If "several" are noticing it, I'm sure someone can see where they lost them. Are you guys running Einstein@home, LHC, or LHC-dev? They recently made changes where you have to go into your preferences to allow data exporting now to be GDPR compliant. That could show where the losses occurred. AND this would be a scenario that had absolutely NOTHING to do with retiring a project. So, again I will ask. What projects are you seeing the loss in points in?...........

If a project has a corrupted stats export, then that can happen as well. That isn't a BOINCStats issue nor a retiring issue.
GoofyxGrid NCI recently had a database problem and people lost points there. That is a project issue and not a retiring issue here.

As you can see from these examples...you really need more details to get help.

Could it be due to the NEWLY ENFORCED GDPR at several projects and here?

Yes this is possibly the case, I have only found two sites that had the Privacy-> Export to BoincStats flag set

I will check again tomorrow Thursday
