Does anyone know of a boinc team soley related to people running older machines such as PII/K6/Cyrix6x86 and earlier? As part of my farm I run a P150 and have an unidentified PII and another PI waiting to be resurrected.

Does anyone think it would be good idea to start a "old timers" boinc team or not?

It would certainly be interesting to see. However I would bet most participants running older hosts would have additional newer hosts to confuse the issue.

Like me, I have one K6 crunching at Lattice next to all my other hosts which are all P4 or higher.

Your quite right over problems of confusion due to participants running older and newer machines, I myself run a "mixed bag" of P1's, Duron's and a lonely P4 Celeron.
Still it was a thought.

Along with my two Core 2 Duo machines, which are only a few months old, I am running their predecessors, two PIII's. I run them because I have them. They are of limited use, I need to keep them on projects where the tasks are fairly short, which is fine, relieveing me and others of these tasks.

Putting them on their own user id and team, etc., would serve no purpose. Between them, they make up about 10% of my crunching capability.
