Any URL you set in your profile is not applied correctly to the projects. Instead it is inserting the full project URL with the HTTP

e.g.
On GoofyX it comes out on your project profile as: http://http://goofyxgridathome.net/

On Universe it comes out on your project profile as: http://http://universeathome.pl/universe/

etc. etc.

You have not created a BAM! profile yet, so please be more clear. Take a look at the Bug Submit Guidelines!.

Sorry, I'm always mixing up the sections of info here. It's the setting via the Main account page where you enter your URL.

I checked to make sure it was by manually editing the URL at the project and then came back here and changed the URL. When I checked back on the project account pages they were once again with the project's own URL put in.

If the field is blank doesn't make a difference.

Note: Some projects don't seem to pick up the URL from BAM. I just happened to notice passing through projects. I didn't note it at the time I was adjusting some preferences in the projects. I'll post which ones when I get a chance to go back through them all.

If you don't have the time to fix it, can you just simply disable it until you can please?

Thank you.

Okay, here's even more weirdness...

I added on YoYo and it passed the correct URL to the project, so it only seems to be when BAM UPDATES...

I checked it and the url send to the projects is not manipulated by BAM!. Furthermore, I checked your profiler at a few projects and your url seems to be just fine.

Can you give a direct link to a profile which is wrong?

I knew you were going to do that...I just went and fixed all the URLs manually so naturally you get back to me... O.o I'm sure there's some law named after someone we don't that covers that...

Okay, so I went ahead and changed the URL to a different one and back so you could see and here's the rundown on the projects which I run. I also rehashed everything I've reported on this thread so far so you have it all in one message...

YES - Affected, NO - Not affected (URL not changed)

YES: Asteroids, Amicable, Anderson, Asteroids, Atlas, Cosmology, DENIS, DrugDiscovery, Einstein+, Enigma, GoofyX, GPUGrid, LHC, Milkyway, POGS Skynet, RALPH, SETI*, SETI Beta*, TN-Grid, Universe, VirtualLHC, WUProp, Xansons, YoYo%

NO: Primerows, WCG (Primerow isn't fully setup yet and WCG is of course WCG)

+ Einstein: This resets the team back to what's listed. Reference my Einstein bug thread.
* SETI/SETI Beta: It's the project URL BUT only a SINGLE http...
% YoYo: correct URL when I ADDED the project last night but affected when MODIFYING BAM account info.

Here's a few random profiles:
- http://wuprop.boinc-af.org/show_user.php?userid=131002
- https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_user.php?userid=23087

I also tried a completely different URL just for testing, no difference.

ALSO, I'm not sure if this is related to this, but I noticed on a project a few days ago that the project thinks I'm a 'New members in last day' (not all projects seem to show this.) Here's a couple sample ones:

- https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/team_display.php?teamid=30285
- http://wuprop.boinc-af.org/team_display.php?teamid=1342

I can't tell at this point if this is from this bug or related to the Einstein@home bug where BAM says it can't find the team. I'd have to wait till it clears out, if it clears out...

Thank you,

Yavanius

Hi Willy,

Did you get a chance to investigate further?

Thanks,

Yes, I found it.

Was thinking all wrong about the problem so was looking in all the wrong places.
