I noticed in many of my projects that two http are being passed along again for our personal URL.

Oddly, I think it's all of the ones (almost all of them) that went to a new CPID but BAM hasn't synced with.

BAM is definitely passing double http to the projects...

I checked that (in the code and the actual data send to projects) and BAM! most definitely doesn't send a double http.

Something from BAM is causing it because I had gone through and made sure each project account had the exact same info (user name, password, country, team, and even Zip) when I had detached and stopped using BAM to get my CPIDs synced. Then after I reconnected to BAM they started appearing and I didn't type in http either. :/

Incidentally, I noticed when I first edit the URL, it shows it without the http but revisiting the profile page and editing it, the http shows up. Not sure if that's related to the issue.

Yes it does in some form or another. Don't you remember I reported this before and you couldn't find it for quite a whiles since you were looking in the wrong place...?

SETI and Einstein (+Beta) don't seem to pick it up from BAM though. That might be another bug there.

Well, I'm sorry, but I maintain it's not a BAM! issue. I just tested it and most projects pick up the URL without extra http. Some add it (for example SZDG and PrimeGrid) but I can verify in my logs it was not submitted by BAM!.

As I said in the other thread, that problem was solved.

So, I talked with Rytis and he checked the PrimeGrid code. Turns out older BOINC server versions always prepend the url with http://.

I don't understand then what's changed? The majority of my projects are sticking the extra http in there since I reenabled BAM. I just picked 3 stable projects for examples. Previous to that, it was working okay.

Do we need to send http over? I believe entry manually at the projects is without http except maybe for some old server code.

If you hover over the URL (or click on it), you see it has an extra HTTP... you can't say that's the projects doing it. That's all BOINCstats...

Well, that's a completely different thing ain't it? That has nothing to do with BAM!. This thread is about BAM! sending double http to the projects which it doesn't do.

The stats page is not your BAM! profile. It shows the URL as reported by the project, and yes, there is (now was) a double http. But it still wasn't a BAM! issue nor is it related to this thread.

There's 22 projects I'm on that are doing this with the URL. You keep saying it's not your system but that means 22 projects all of a sudden are not correctly registering the URL... That's projects from LHC to Acoustics in age...
