Hi all,

E@H changed their primary URL from http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/ to https://einsteinathome.org/. This made BAM unhappy, as I have on each BOINC client E@H twice in the project list. I have even tried to detach clients from BAM, remove obsolete project listing from projects list and reattach clients to BAM, but that only forced BAM to push old project back to project list.

PLEASE update project primary URL and let me know, if BAM will automatically remove old project from clients, or Ill have once more do it client by client manually as with POEM@home, where BAM failed to do this automatically.

Thanks

I'm having this issue as well. As clients sync with BAM, Einstein was added twice over the past several days.

I can confirm I am having the same issue.

Just tested Citizen Science Grid as well. I have been using a workaround as CSG started doing the same when they went HTTPS a while ago and that project is still not fixed.

The workaround at the moment is to detach the project using BAM and then manually connect each client using the correct URL. Unfortunately you cannot then mange the project with BAM.

UPDATE:

now BAM tries to remove NEW valid https version of E@H project from project list with Status message "Will remove when tasks done". OLD http project listing reports its state as normal, no sign of it's removal.

And the problem is, that even when clients finished all work (from both E@H project listings) BOINC client didnt remove that one it writes it will remove, when work is done. Even flagging E@H projects with "no new work" flag and waiting for all work units to finish didnt help.

UPDATE:

You can now remove duplicate E@H entry in projects list while using BAM account manager, BUT it will remove new valid E@H project from list and leave You with old, not much longer supported E@H with http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/ URL. Also, new E@H project has to signalize a state, that it will detach automatically when all work is done. If so, You can
1: detach client from using BAM account manager
* at this point, new valid E@H project will be removed from list
2: reattach client to BAM

Thats all You can do, if You want to use BAM and remove this duplicity.

Is here someone from BAM admins that even reads this thread? Its been here since 12th September and only affected users replied so far.
