Hello all-
New to this forum. Don't know if I'm posting in the right place. Did a search for the above title (in quotes), and got way too many hits for me to have any confidence in the search function. So I'm creating a new thread, though I suspect I'm far from the first person to have this problem:

I created a BOINCStats account yesterday. When I go to BAM! > my detailed stats, I get a page that reads "User ID doesn't exist in BOINC combined or doesn't have any credit." But I know that BOINCstats knows about my projects, because it lists them here:
https://www.boincstats.com/stats/-1/user/detail/40364120/projectList
And I have a BOINCstats box in my signature in the Rosetta forums.
So I presume there must be some way to link the account to my projects. After way too much poking and searching in the BAM! links, I find what appears to be the right place, "sign-up for projects". I was looking for something like "link(ed) projects", which I suggest would be a better name.
On that page, I'm prompted to click "find account" to add a given project to my account. But "find account" appears nowhere on that page. I guess at trying "sign-up", which opens a promising dialog that gives me the option to find an account. I choose that, note that it does not ask for any identifying information, I hit save, and then get these messages: "checking for existing account", then "incorrect password". But, as I mentioned, there was no request for any credentials.
Can anyone tell me what I'm missing? Thanks in advance.

By my understanding the idea is that you have the same name and password for BAM and all of your Boinc projects, in which case it would be using your BAM credentials.

Thanks for posting. I have since made my username the same for all my projects, and there's no change. I have not made the passwords the same though, it seems strange to me that BAM would require that.

It can take a couple of days to synchronise but I don’t think it will without commonality.

You do need to make the passwords the same for BAM! and all the projects you are crunching for. BAM! can only act as account manager for you if the credentials are the same. That's not a safety issue by the way, BAM! always uses hashes for communication with the project sites.
