This problem has existed since BOINCStats retired zivis. All my host were detached from Zivis by BAM. If I check to attach all host now, It doesn't attach to zivis (it was up at that time because I could attach to it if I detached from BAM). As soon as I re-attached to BAM it would detach from it again. It tried to attach to WCG instead though.

A few basic rules when you submit a bug:

1: Be sure to read the F.A.Q. and/or search the forum before posting a new bug

Nothing in FAQ.

2: Start a new thread for every new bug.

3: Explain what you think is wrong:

Don't know.

4: Explain how you think it should be.

If able to attach when not attached to BAM, should be able to attach with BAM

5: Provide a URL to the page on BOINCstats where you found the bug:

N/A

6: Submit your BAM account ID and any relevant BAM host ID in every post:

Account information
BOINCstats BAM ID 121
CPID b65b36154e3a49f636a3148d4e0b3c83
Email address kamcobill@kamcousa.com
Username KAMCOBILL
URL http://www.kamcousa.com
Country United States
Postal code 26031

7: If the bug concerns a host/client, include the hostname in the post:

All Hosts

8: This subforum is for BAM bugs only!

Sorry About the outline, but would like an answer.

I know it doesn't really matter to some since Zivis appears to be down now, but it happened when it was still up.

Thanks

Bill

I think that by default BAM! detaches retired projects from the clients.

Son Goku 3SSJ,

Thanks. I just noticed it with Zivis because I had WUs and RenderFarm didn't detach. I just looked through my hosts and the retired projects are gone.

How can I get BAM not to do this:

10/11/2007 15:55:18||Contacting account manager at http://bam.boincstats.com/
10/11/2007 15:55:20||Account manager: BAM Host-ID: 65811
10/11/2007 15:55:20||Account manager contact succeeded
10/11/2007 15:55:24|World Community Grid|Sending scheduler request: Requested by account manager
10/11/2007 15:55:24|World Community Grid|(not requesting new work or reporting completed tasks)
10/11/2007 15:55:29|World Community Grid|Scheduler RPC succeeded [server version 509]
10/11/2007 15:55:29|World Community Grid|Deferring communication for 2 min 1 sec
10/11/2007 15:55:29|World Community Grid|Reason: requested by project

when host sync with BAM.

It started when I clicked Zivis attach all host now and hasn't stopped for ~ 2 months.

Thanks Again

Bill

You can't stop it, it's what BAM! does. And it didn't start with your Zivis action, BAM! has been doing this for a long time.
