Hi Willy,

It looks like PS3GRID may have switched URL:

10/31/08 12:18:19|GPUGRID|Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. Requesting 0 seconds of work, reporting 0 completed tasks
10/31/08 12:18:24|GPUGRID|Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
10/31/08 12:18:24|GPUGRID|You used the wrong URL for this project
10/31/08 12:18:24|GPUGRID|The correct URL is http://www.gpugrid.net/
10/31/08 12:18:24|GPUGRID|Using the wrong URL can cause problems in some cases.
10/31/08 12:18:24|GPUGRID|When convenient, detach this project, then reattach to http://www.gpugrid.net/

I attached to http://www.ps3grid.net/ with BOINC Manager with 16 hosts when it first went active. I, also attached to http://www.gpugrid.net/ on one Nvida host, but all of my hosts are giving wrong URL Message. Is there a way to check this out?

Thanks,

Bill

In email contact I was told that the old URL will work in the foreseeable time, although they will focus on the new URL.

I do not want to detach all hosts from a working URL.

OK Thanks, Willy. That's good then, it's not a bug.

I have the same problem - using NVidia gpu, not a playstation 3. My first (and only) workunit download ran, then I got an error message that I should have connected to www.gpugrid.net.

It looks like you need to have two projects, one for ps3grid.net and one for gpugrid.net. This is a guess based on the following error message:
Message from server: Full-atom molecular dynamics on Cell processor is not available for your type of computer.

It would appear that attaching to your "named" gpugrid project got me instead to ps3grid.net and the ps3 cell processor data. I crunched on it for about 9 hours and it seems they didnt like what I spit out. At least their boinc client didnt choke on it.

I am going to detach from your server as I wish to use my 9800gtx+. Maybe there is some config file I can edit and put gpugrid.net in place of ps3grid.net and continue to use your server???

I have the same problem

It's not a problem.

This is a project with two URL's. Both work, one is preferred.

Willy,
both urls may "work," but boincstats shows my credit from only one of them. I don't know which one. All I know is that I detached and reattached as the error message suggests. Now, on the GPUGRID site I have 12,928 credits and on boincstats I have only 6464.13 credits. It has been that way for a couple of days now since I detached and reattached, so something isn't "working" somewhere. Is there some way to check whether boincstats is checking only one for credits?

Thanks,

Konrad

The XML files on both URL's are identical (in fact, they are the same files, on the same server, just a different URL), all credit is in there. So it's just not possible that credit is showing for one or the other. It's one project, not two.
