Hi,

my problem:

I can't attach an host to an existing BAM-Account.
The host WAS in former times attached to an other BAM-Account.

All trys (dteach projects und BOINC-Manager, delete host in the "old" BAM-Account, delete the file-directory .. no success!

The host attached (ignoring the new values for accountname and password) always to the old BAM account.

PLS... any suggestions or solutions?!

Two solutions.
First detach the host from BAM!, then either:

  • go to the old account and delete the host entry, then attach the host.
  • stop BOINC, go to your BOINC data directory, throw away all acct_mgr_* files, edit client_state.xml, find "<host_cpid>" and change one or more characters of the CPID (this will ruin the stats for this host!). Start BOINC.

Attach host to BAM!.

Please do not PM, IM or email me for support (they will go unread/ignored). Use the forum for support.
