Hello!

A. My steps
1. On host page I set individual resource share for host (different from "-" or default).
2. In BOINC manager I press "Synchronize With BAM!"
B. Results and effects
1. On several machines nothing happens - the host continues to use default resource share. If at least for 1 project share is set to 0, the result is always equal to No synchronization.
2. Once synchronized successful the host may return back to default resource share. This happens accidentally and without explainable reason.
3. BOINC versions tested - from 6.2.19 to 6.12.33, OS - Windows XP or 7.

Thank You...

I can confirm some unstable state - periodically the hosts are dropping resource share, set in BAM!, to default share.

A temporary solution, how to resynchronize host - in host's BAM! page edit resource share for at least 1 project and press "Set".

Note. Single pressing of "Set" (without editing) does not help.

Yes, I did. But due my poor English I missed part of information in directives.
Final situation - it is too difficult for me to communicate here.
Thank You, Gundolf!

Ok!

Fragment of acct_mgr_reply.xml directly after desynchronization:
<acct_mgr_reply>
<name>BOINCstats BAM!</name>
<version>2.0.E</version>
<signing_key> </signing_key>
<repeat_sec>3600</repeat_sec>
<message>BAM! User-ID: 66688</message>

<url>http://climateprediction.net/</url>
<url_signature> </url_signature>
<resource_share>75</resource_share>
</account>
<opaque> </opaque>
</acct_mgr_reply>

Note. Host is attached to 3 projects, but XML contains <resource_share> ... </resource_share> only for 1 of them.

Hello again!

After I upgraded BOINC to 6.12.xx, I started to receive almost every day additional notices:
Message from account manager: acct_mgr_request empty or corrupt!

acct_mgr_request.xml for that situation looks like...

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

That's an acct_mgr_reply.

You can't see, because acct_mgr_reply is almost empty - blue part of code, containing at first individual resource shares for this host, disappeared:

Put that XML in the XML validator. It will proof that the XML is fine.

As I tried to explain in my previous messages, this "blue part" of code is disappearing almost every day on my hosts.
So the solution is:
1. resynchronize host;
2. stop BOINC;
3. validate acct_mgr_reply.xml and acct_mgr_request.xml in XML validator;
4. overwrite existing files with validated;
5. restart BOINC;
6. repeat the same procedure on all hosts, which can be reached.
This must fix my problem.
Did I understand You correct?

The blue parts disappears because they are only needed when something changes with a project (attacht, detach, NNW etc). When nothing changes with a project, it will not be included in the reply.
