I recieved a message from CPDN to remove the project and reattach, to pick up their new URL. I have disconnected my client from the project, via BAM, and it no longer appears in BOINC manager, but I have been unable to remove it from my BAM project list.

The best information, that I've been able to find, indicates that there should be a delete icon under OPTIONS, on the screen showing my projects. I am not seeing that icon.

Can anyone provide information on how to get BAM to remove the project so that I can comply with the project's request?

It's because CPDN (and other projects) are offering both a http-URL and a https-URL for connection. You should reattach your host(s) to CPDN (using BAM!) and don't worry about the messages concerning the URL as long as your workunits are crunched without problems.

Still, I think that BAM should allow one to remove a project, when such a request is made, by the project.

I found instructions that state that one can remove a project, but it apparently isn't supported in the current version of the software.

We setup a new machine today (E5-2683V3-2) and used BAM, and it automatically gave us the old CPDN URL.

It is our understanding that no new WUs are being issued from this URL. All the machines currently using BAM (and hence this URL) have so far not been issued any CPDN WUs.

We are just finishing off existing ones.

Is BAM likely to update the URL for CPDN in the very near future? Can anyone shed some light on how we can get to use the correct URL via BAM?

The new URL is completely different I believe to the old one.

My understanding is the "new" URL is their backup server. They made it active so people could complete current jobs. They should switch back to the "old" URL once they have rebuilt the primary server, it had some hardware issue.

We have had some WUs complete, upload, and report, using the old URL. So if that is working then I am not sure why they would seutp another URL.

However, when you add BAM to a new machine, or just use an existing setup, - and try and get WUs from CPDN, this is the notice you get:



Which it was our understanding meant, you are using an old URL (and hence will not get any WUs until you change this, however we still be able to upload/report to the old URL).

Could someone 100% confirm this as we are not getting any WUs on the old address, but have been able to upload/report from this??

Something else we just noticed.. BOINCStats reports our credit as: 1,262,401,537.95, and yet if you look to the left of this post, it reports as less than 1 Billion? (939,307,289).

In short: don't detach, CPDN will use the original URL as soon as that server is available again...
