Hello,

I noticed my CPID has changed from what it was previously and is now different from what is shown in my Gridcoin Wallet.
Attempted to rectify it by changing the external CPID entry in on each of my hosts' client_state.xml to the old CPID, restarting the client(s) and synchronizing with BAM. If I log in to the two projects I have signed up for, my CPID now appears correct. However, my Main account page still shows the new CPID after waiting half a day and clicking on "My detailed stats" shows the following error:

"User ID doesn't exist in BOINC combined or doesn't have any credit."

Is there anything I should do or will this resolve itself eventually?
Any help/pointers appreciated, thanks!

I would take any Gridcoin related questions to their forum, BOINCstats doesn't have any control over their system.

Do you use the BAM! account manager? That's typically the message that shows up when someone is not using the account manager, and are just using the account for access to the forums. After you made the change to the client data files, did your CPID at the projects revert to the old one,or does it still display the new one? I know you can trigger a CPID reset at BAM, though that probably won't help your situation any.

Sorry, I should've mentioned I'm using the BAM! account manager. I've also checked my projects and ensured they've reverted to the original CPID. I just realized I posted in the wrong subforum since there's one for all BAM!-related issues. Thanks for trying to help out anyway.
Seems like a number of users have experienced the same... split CPIDs and after fixing it by ensuring all the projects are on the same CPID, the CPID shown on the Main account page is the only one that doesn't synchronize.

It seems some people just end up waiting a couple of months and it eventually resolves itself. I'm just not sure if that's due to somebody actively modifying the database somewhere after having seen their posts or it's part of an automated process.

What exactly does "renew CPID" really do anyway? I'm beginning to think I shouldn't have clicked on it. Does it simply generate a new CPID without regard of the CPID the projects are using or does it also attempt to propagate this new CPID into the projects?

Thanks!

Waited a few days and hit "renew CPID" again. After a few hours the CPID synchronized correctly.
