Hello Folks!
First off I did try to sort out my own problem (FAQ's and Search) and I did give it a few days to maybe sort itself out. Also, because I had a few questions, I posted them all here so as not to start different threads in different forum sections.

But here's the rub:

1: Bam worked great right off the bat, I chose to connect to some projects from here and it connected my computer no probs! But now it is not doing this. Also I cannot detach from a project.

2: My CPID is not updating here, other Stats pages (NI!, BOINC statitics ) have it listed. It hasn't listed it from the start and I thought it would update itself?

3: In regards to team stats, obviously the name must be the same across projects for combing stats but does the founder of the team need to be the same also? I am told yes but think you folks would know better.

2: You mean your CPID does not update in your BAM! account. Because the link you gave leads to your combined stats. If that is the case, then try the updating your CPID from the Edit account page in BAM!

3: Only the team name must be the same.

Also please do not post links to external/team forum site in this section. There is a separate forum for team advertising/recruitment threads.

Good to know about the team name / team stats. Does that answer apply just here or across BOINC?

Yes the link was to the combined stats via the link my SETI account, I was trying to show how I am listed but not listed. If you click on my name here you will see the difference.

I have tried updating the CPID but get nowhere. Also, I have been over to climate prediction and changed my user name to match other accounts. I'll give it another week to see what happens.

Well, BOINC does not need of combining teams (like the stats site do), but because when you try joining a team over at the project the search is done by name only, I reckon they use the team as the identifier.

Yes, I've noticed the difference. This means that the correct CPID is not linked to your BAM! account. Don't know how the matching is implemented, but if it is by name you should first change all projects to have the same user name, and after the project update their XML and BOINCstats picks them up, you should try the renew CPID option. This is just an assumption. Only Willy can answer this question with certainty.

Well it took what seemed like an eternity but I guess all the ducks got in a row and I have my CPID attached to my account and the stats are really interesting to look at!!

Willy, I was wondering if you could comment on how team stats are combined. Specifically how teams with different founders but same team names are combined. Some say that the team founder must be the same across all projects, but this simply doesn't seem to be the case. All stats pages I have looked at have my team combined with my co captains. We have seperate accounts, we do not share a "Captain's" account.

Any light you could shed on this subject would be greatly apreciated!

Here the name of the team must be identical. I think it is the same at the other stats sites.

You're right, as there is no team CPID in the XML, the only way to do this is take the names of the teams, Founders are irrelevant, their email as well. I don't think the founder is included in the export-xml at all.

The User-ID of the founder is included, but many teams are started with different members in the projects, it's just who gets in first.
