Having WEIRD problems here all the sudden. BOINC Manager was working fine this AM, then it started disconnecting from localhost and will not stay connected for more than a second or so, despite repeated attempts to get it going again. Even tried reinstalling 5.10.45 and an older version, rebuilding Windows registry - but no luck. Anyone come across this/have ideas on how to fix?

P.S. Running Win XP.

Yes, I have exact the same problem on both of my machines since this afternoon!
I noticed that they both had LHC work, but LHC went down earlier.
On one of my machines I completely deleted the BOINC folder and installed a new client and all is fine.
The other one - has an almost finished CPDN model on it - I let until I know what really is the cause for this.
It would be a strange abnormality when LHC should be responsible for that...

Ah! I was running LHC exclusively on this machine when it encountered the problem, so there may be a connection. Alas, the WUs look like they've been aborted, but bigger problem is getting it going again.

Tried uninstalling again and then reinstalling as a service (had it as shared installation before). Seems to be working now, but we'll see if it stays that way.
