Dynaping is dead.

My BAM hosts were automatically set to detach when tasks are done.

But they can never be done, because the dynaping site is down, and they can return the completed tasks.

I tried to go into the project resource page to change it to detach immediately, regardless of tasks in progress. But the project is no longer listed there.

Now what?

Detach them Manually after aborting the Wu's, possibly use BOINC View, that's what I did this morning when I couldn't return the Wu's ...

If you do a project reset - it will detach once there are no more WU in cache.

Simply aborting the tasks will not do a detach because you would still have the aborted WU in cache.

If you attach to a project via BAM, them BOINCmgr won't let you manually detach.

Ah, but that gave me an idea. Resetting the project removes the task, and then the automatic detach process happens normally. I will go and reset the project on all my machines.

MMM, I thought I gave BAM! enough time to detach hosts (started 48 hours before the project went down, WU's take 12 hours).

It's true that the WU is designed to keep going when it can't reach the DP server so if a host didn't detach in time, you'll have to reset the project before it will detach.
