everytime i change a bit of hardware in my computers i get a warning

Message from account manager: can't resolve hostname

it gets really anoying even just upgrading the RAM in the computer gets me the warning
would be great if someone sorted it out as i dont get credits to each computer but yet i still get credit in total...

Which operating system? Which DNS IP's do you use?

i use windows 7 and dont know which DNS i use as i dont pay that much attention to what Boincs doing

DNS isn't a BOINC thing, it's in your networks IP settings.

i think i might have found the problem, would it be caused if all computers are using the same ip address?

well sort of. i dont leave boinc connected to the internet all the time as the only way i can get the internet is with a usb 3G dongle. just wounderd if its because the dongle asigns all computers with the same static ip address

Reason:
