https://boincstats.com/en/stats/-1/user/detail/120208/lastDays

Also I noticed my username changed from Maximus73 to Massimo, which is indicating something is being changed, I did request 1 reset of CPID but did not solve a thing...
I am trying to understand this issue since 2 weeks and can't get around it.
Any help is appreciated !

It seems problems started when I tried to log in to my BAm account, and had to use an older user-name in order to get in.
Not I am fraid it is all messed up. I tried to find the projects which were added automatically, but then they show 0 credit and 0 attempt to connect to the projects... uhmmm...

Should I delete my BAM account ?

The problem still persists...

losing 700 M points 5 times since 22-12-2018 since I first made an account on BAM, and now still below by 830M points... quite disappointing... The statistics on my local boinc instead is just fine. I will wait another day or two and completely delete BAM and tell BOINC to not use BoincStatsBAM as project administration..

Could it be a SPLIT Cross Project ID?

Two of the most obvious reasons:
1) Multiple email address/user name could cause this.
2) Not all your projects are linked/synced to your BAM! account.

Goto/login to your "home" page at each ACTIVE project you are running on and:
1) CHECK YOU HAVE THE SAME USER NAME AND EMAIL ADDRESS ACROSS ALL PROJECTS.
2) All projects are on the SAME BAM! account.

maximus73 CPID: dc0d3a89dbe479ad3f20ab109597491a
ACTIVE Project on that account > Einstein@Home / GPUGRID / World Community Grid.
(Overall) Member of team: BOINC.Italy
On World Community Grid you are Member of team - All Together To Fight AIDS -
World Community Grid Sign-up date 2006-05-14

Massimo CPID: e338750334f56d4aac2e8573135e2318
Project on that account > Asteroids@home / LHC@Home / MilkyWay@home / PrimeGrid / SETI@Home / World Community Grid.
RETIRED Project on that account > POEM@HOME
*Overall) Member of team n/a ("NONE&quot.
On World Community Grid you are Member of team - All Together To Fight AIDS -
World Community Grid Sign-up date 2006-05-14

Appears you have TWO DIFFERENT World Community Grid USER ID's.
Until you put ALL YOUR COMPUTER ON THE SAME USER NAME/ACCOUNT/CPID thing will continue to get messed up.

First of all, thank you so much for your reply, Dr Who Fan.

I now understand that I messed up big time.

1) I checked that all projects have the same user-name, maximus73
2) All projects have the same email address _______@gmail.com
3) On World Community grid I changed my username from max73 to maximus73 to match all the others. Now i can only login with the new username.

The problem is that on 22/12/2018 when I saw 77M points missing due to the authorization issue with Einstein@home, I did not understand that was the cause,
and instead I tried to solve a split CPID problem that was not there , by replacing
dc0d3a89dbe479ad3f20ab109597491a with e338750334f56d4aac2e8573135e2318 in the client stats files.
In fact the CPID reported in all project sites was the e338 one, so I thought there was an error on my client. Instead this must have created a new external CPID = dc0d3a89dbe479ad3f20ab109597491a.
The authorization issue with Einstein@home I fixed it later on that day.

What to do now?
I thought if I add all the projects to BAM things would fix by themselves but unfortunately I cannot add POEM (350M points) to my projects in BAM because it is a retired project.

Now the situation is as follows:
New CPID: dc0d3a89dbe479ad3f20ab109597491a, maximus73 which is my desired username
This CPID was created on 22/12/2018 by mistake probably on my part.
This CPID NOT stored in the client state files anywhere on my PC (only have one host)
New CPID projects I do care, all : 852M Einstein,GPUGRID, WCG

Old CPID: e338750334f56d4aac2e8573135e2318, Massimo username which appeared out of the blue on 22/12/2018
This was the only CPID until 22/12/2018, and showed maximus73 as username until then.
Old CPID projects I do care : POEM, credits =350M
Old CPID projects I do not care: Asteroids, LHC, MilkyWay, PrimeGrid,SETI

I guess I won't do anything anymore unless I know exactly what I am doing !

Cheers,
Massimo

Somehow today everything fixed itself by magic ? Or is it only temporary ?

Not boincstats shows all the points I am supposed to see, I hope this lasts !

maximus73,

Looks like World Community Grid (WCG) still has the CPID starting with "dc0d" withe User ID "maximus73". All other projects are now on CPID starting with "e338" and User ID "maximus73".

Not to worry yet!
Give it two more days more day for all projects to sync up on one of the maximus73 accounts (most likely the "e338" one). Some times it takes more than a day to sync across the projects.

If after two days of BoincStats updates WCG is not on the same CPID as the rest of the projects post a message here and we will go from there.

All the stats for my CPID e338750334f56d4aac2e8573135e2318 are now correct, included WCG, and included the correct username, thanks a lot Dr Who fan for all your help!

Yet my BAM "main account page" still shows the wrong CPID ..

CPID dc0d3a89dbe479ad3f20ab109597491a

If there was a way to completely delete this wrong CPID would be great .

Looks like you still have a SPLIT CPID...
Read through the FAQ #14 - Why do I have duplicate/split accounts in the BOINC combined stats?.
Sometimes you also need to complete one task from each active project to receive credit for the CPID's to align. Try that also it can not hurt.

On the "maximus73" UserID / CPID "dc0d" you have 2 active projects:
https://boincstats.com/en/stats/-1/user/detail/54399611821/projectList
GPUGRID
World Community Grid

On the "Massimo" UserID / CPID "e33" you have 6 active & 1 retired projects:
https://boincstats.com/en/stats/-1/user/detail/120208/projectList
Active Projects:
Asteroids@home
Einstein@Home
LHC@Home
MilkyWay@home
PrimeGrid
SETI@Home

Retired Projects:
POEM@HOME

Thanks for your update Dr Who fan.

About the FAQ, as for usernames being all set to the same and all same email address I had fixed that already. Also have only one PC, running all 3 projects that matter to me, Einstein, GPUgrid, WCG, and they all reported at least one completed task today...

I am puzzled
This morning all was fine, until I asked "renew CPID" in BAM which was the dc0d (wrong) one. I hoped the projects would update the BAM instead the opposite happened. Also weird that the e33 CPID changed from maximus73 to Massimo. I did request WCG to change my CPID to the e33, Could not contact GPUgrid forum which seems to be down, actually their whole site seems down right now..
Hope this nightmare will fix, or I will keep oscillating every other day with +,- 700M points... making all the stats pages unusable in fact .

If only someone could "nuke" the wrong CPID dc0d3a89dbe479ad3f20ab109597491a eliminating it from this side of the universe all would be solved ...

Now everything seems fine again, e338750334f56d4aac2e8573135e2318 shows again all projects as this morning, but dc0d3a89dbe479ad3f20ab109597491a, is not deleted and also shows GPUgrid and WCG. Username on e33.. is again maximus73... I guess stats will keep oscillating ?
Also BAM keeps using the solitary and wrong CPID, dc0d3a89dbe479ad3f20ab109597491a, despite "renew CPID".

BAM! CPID is NOT based on the stats CPID nor does it change project CPIDs. This thought keeps coming back but it is simply wrong. The BAM! CPID is based on the projects included in your BAM! account. BAM! "asks" the projects some of your project account details, CPID being one of those. It never uses the statistics database. Furthermore, BAM! does not nor can it update the project CPID so using BAM! will NOT change any CPID.

Clicking the renew button does nothing more than asking all projects "what is the current CPID?", then find the one most used and use that for BAM!.
Please do not PM, IM or email me for support (they will go unread/ignored). Use the forum for support.

Thank you very much Willy for your reply,

this clarifies a lot, finally I understand better what renew CPID does,

[BAM! "asks" the projects]

, as you explained made it very clear.

Therefore one needs to fix it in most of the projects and wait that the good CPID propagates and the bad one vanishes once it is no longer in use.
