My Boinc Stats Sig image is missing WCG and Rosetta... Recently our team was hijacked and the name changed to Space Family, but has been restored about three days ago, to Teddies, by the Rosetta Admin. As to WCG, there hasn't been any changes that I'm aware of... Both projects are checked in my Project list and have been. ... Your assistance in restoring WCG and Rosetta to my sig would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks,

Nite Owl

If you look here: http://boincstats.com/search/result.php?name=nite%20owl you'll see, you're triple. It's a CPID problem, you have to get this in order in the usual way methinks.

The reason for this might be the stuff with the barbarian, but I don't know.

As far as I know it's always looked like that...three lines. I have no idea when Rosetta dropped off (Probably when hijacked), but WCG was very recently. Probably during CASP while I was crunching for another team (HUKD) at POEM... I switched back to the Teddies a few daysd ago now...

Ok, I can see the problem now, so my next question is What's the usual way to fix it?

I think just as Sänger suggested:
...It's a CPID problem, you have to get this in order in the usual way methinks.

Where "the usual way" is a link to the FAQ.

Wonderful, But I've read that no less than 1000 times in the last week.. I know "Why" it happened, I know where to read "How" it came about, I know what my latest CPID is (of which I had no control over being changed in the first place), What I don't know is the "Where" do I input the latest CPID to fix the problem?? (that I didn't create)

You don't have to input anything anywhere, just:

* Use the exact same email address for every project.
* Run at least one system with all projects, or one system with project A and B, and one system with project B and C. If there is a project that runs isolated from the other projects, it's CPID with never line up.

And don't forget:
* have all projects attached on at least one computer, non-attached projects will never align. You don't have to crunch anything, set them to "No new work" asap, but have them connected!

Sorry, no offense intended, I do know how it feels to be thought of being blind (stupid :-). But it really read as if you overlooked it being a link.

CPIDs are nothing to "put into" somewhere, they are created at the projects as an cross BOINC identifier for your account, with every account creation you get a new one. Then the get aligned via you computers on which yu crunch the other projects. The projects communicate somehow via BM and project servers with each other and agree somehow on one of the numbers.
