Hi,

Today i've upgraded to BOINC 6.3.8 and joined the PS3GRID, but unfortunately this afternoon joining from BAM was impossible due to network problems "Project down" so i attached from the boinc client directly, and here there was the beginning of my pain.

Everytime i startup my BAM! Host ID changes to http://boincstats.com/bam/account_host.php?

host_id=125592 but i wish to keep my usual http://boincstats.com/bam/account_host.php?

host_id=106777 can you help me?

I read a topic here http://www.ps3grid.net/PS3GRID/forum_thread.php?id=25 and i followed this:

****
shut down all running boinc programs like boinc_manager and core_client or service.

make a backup copy just in case.

edit file client_state.xml

look for line like: <cross_project_id>ed2007abc12345de67af6ee8b3c906ad</cross_project_id>
replace the 32 digit code with your CPID.
You can find this under your listing on boincstats or under your account setting on any project.
Check two or three other projects and you will see they are the same ID but the ID under your

account at PS3GRID will be different, which is what you are going to change.

save and exit

restart boinc and this should solve the problem.
***

But problem still here, PS3GRID CPID it's different, only with this project!

my client state is fine after my editing:

Code:

Willy, can u please light me up on this issue? I'm not running boinc these days due to this problem.

How can i force Boinc to link up my usual BAM Host Id?

If it's your old BAM! ID that you want back, then you have to replace the host_authenticator in acct_mgr_login.xml. Success not guaranteed!. I'll send you the correct host_authenticator for your host by PM.
Please do not PM, IM or email me for support (they will go unread/ignored). Use the forum for support.
