Hello,

Not sure if I'm in the right forum.
I discovered just now that BOINC stats is telling me that I've lost somehow more than 106000 credits on the 13th of March. I wonder how this can be? I mean, have I been credited by mistake in the past or the like, so that it had to be corrected? Or what can be the reason for the loss of my credits?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Saenger

I don't know what other Imhotep you are, but there are 3 swiss ones in this list.

The Seti-only has 112KC, the SHA1-oply 8KC, the others I have not looked up.
Looks like a typical case of CPID-split.

This Guy showed up on the 13th March

http://it.boincstats.com/stats/boinc_user_graph.php?pr=bo&id=1915682

Different team, though.

106,754.46 Credits, for LHC@Home, team Swiss Boincers.

Could this be your missing credit?

Hello,

Thanks Seejay and Saenger! In the list the 2 Swiss Imhotep with the capital letter "I" belong to me - I think I have registered with SHA in the past also but I am not 100% sure.
Most of the projects I have attached to the team Swiss BOINC'ers and some other projects belong to my own team Irish BOINC'ers because the Swiss BOINC'ers team couldn't be found on some of the newer projects.
Yes Seejay, this is exactly the amount of my missing credits! Gee.... already in 2003 I was thinking that it can't be a good idea to have the same user ID more than once registered to BOINC..... I assume my issue now is a kind of a result of this....
Any idea how I can get back these credits?

Thanks a lot!

Yeah!! You've got make sure that your e-mail address is the same for all the projects ( and preferably password and user-name also ). If you can get into your old accounts on the projects, just simply change the e-mail address to your current one, and it'd be a good idea to get your teams sorted out!!

Cheers

I've corrected the e-mail addresses on all my projects except two of them which aren't active anymore, so I have now everywhere the same e-mail address.
Only now I discovered that the credits I have lost exactly match the amount of credits I have collected for the project LHC! And curiously this project isn't listed in my Swiss BOINC'ers stats anymore!
As said, most of my projects belong to the team Swiss Boinc'ers (LHC too) and some of the newer projects belong to my own team because I couldn't attach them to the team Swiss BOINC'ers. Concerning this it is sorted out already I think. Or do you think it could be a problem having a project attached to one team and another project having attached to another team, with the same user ID "Imhotep"? All I could do is to remove team participation for the projects that belong to my own team (Irish BOINC'ers), so they wouldn't count for a team at all.
What do you think?
Thanks again!

It's no problem having different projects on different teams, it's just tidier to have them all together!! If you can't find a team on a project, you can create the team on that project - on all the project sites, when you search for a team and it says it can't find that team, it also asks you if you want to create the team on that project - do that!!

Cheers

Hi,
Oh, I didn't know and couldn't imagine this would work but I created this team now on the newer projects. I am not sure if this really will work because I am the only member of this "Swiss BOINC'ers" team at the moment, where I have it created some hours ago..... let's see how it looks like after a couple of nights, after the "statistics jobs" were running at least one more time (if this will make a difference at all).
Thanks again for your help!

Well Chris, this obviously doesn't work. Additionally I've lost almost all credits that I had on the 16th and 17th of April..... no clue what's going on here! Maybe I should remove my user name from all teams and don't belong to any team at all? Very strange what happens here with my credits!!

Any advice will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

You don't lose credits, period.

Please go to the top of this thread and read again the answer vom Sänger, the links included!

You have to "unsplit" your CPID.

Thanks Gundolf! I've read it again and I think that I have done the stuff already a couple of weeks ago, that is described in the help pages (same e-mail address for all projects and having all projects active on at least one of my computers) to "unsplit" the CPID. For two of the projects I wasn't able to attach them because they don't exist anymore. Can this be disturbing in getting the CPID "unsplit"?

Thanks and Regards.

You might be able to bring the retired projects back into the fold using the "Sync retired projects" feature under the BOINCstats menu... It depends on when the projects were retired, and when you became a member of BAM!/BOINCstats.

Thanks for the hint - unfortunately the retired projects (Nano-Hive and XtremLab ) were retired before I registered with BAM.

Cheers.
