Hi all,

I noticed that my host stats are reporting negative credits. Visiting each projects' page, the credits seem to be ok. Do you have any idea on why this might be happening?

Moreover, I noticed that when I view the last 40 days page, 2/3 of my hosts do not have credit since the day I rejoined Boinc (06/07/2013) but only show credit in the last couple of days.

Strange thing (at least for me - not an expert) is that the hosts seem to contact boincstats regularly and each of the project separately is being updated normally.

Is there anything I can do to make sure that my hosts are reporting correctly? Is it something that has to do with boincstats?

Thank you very much for your time and assistance!

Hi all,

in the same context as previously mentioned, I noticed that my host stats reset in random intervals. I have 3 hosts in total contributing to the Boinc community. For example, one of my hosts (in the last 40 days tab ) shows stats only for the last 2 days (16th and 17th of August). Another host seem to have data from the 30th of July while the last one is reported as non existing and/or not having any credit.

On the other hand my detailed stats, as a user, seem to be correct and historical data are maintained.

Does anybody stumbled upon the same issue? Any ideas on why this might be happening? Anything I can do to resolve this?

Thanks!

I see this almost every day or three, on many of my hosts.
As far as I can guess, it appears the various BOINC projects did not have valid XML data available for automated download by BOINCstats. Therefore, hosts information was not updated and possibly deleted from BOINCstats database files until the next database update is performed with the missing data.

Willy can confirm or deny my guess.

One thing I've learned over the years with BOINC and BOINCstats/BAM, is that sweating the small stuff with host credit will do nothing but drive you nuts. The way the projects update hosts on a whim doesn't really play well with other projects, and especially stats sites.
