@elricm, do you honestly not know the answer? Someone has 1000 tasks in progress on their 24 core system. How many other people are waiting for those 1000 tasks to finish in order to get their completed work validated?

Hi elricm lets see if I can explain it a little better than Punchy did. The reason for so many sitting in pending is each WU's has to run on 3 computers in order to be verifier. It appears many people downloaded 10 days of work into there Q for a 5 day challenge so many of the WU's will not get verified until the challenge is over. I personally have Validation pending (4024) and Valid (2105) so about 2/3 of the work I have run during the challenge has not been validated. Some people download large cashes as a strategy for banking credit or to keep others from scoring during the challenge. Others just do not know what the results of doing it is. Anyway it is all just part of the challenge it just happens to really show up and be noticeable with constellation because every WU has to be run 3 computers before being verified and counted.

Grandpa,you are welcome to spell it out - I believe people learn better if they are given a clue and have to figure things out for themselves. Regardless, there are a number of competitors with large numbers of computers that have overloaded with work and spoiled the competition. Queueing 10 days of work starting 5 days before a 5 day competition - OK. Queueing 15 days of work at the start of a 5 day competition - not OK.

So if i have this right, we can get some new WU`s and be waiting a week or 2 before they have been verified 3 times but if its been verified twice already credit will be awarded as soon as its been done the third time?
Still at the end of the day its fun to do and the project benefits so im chilled lol, thought.. maybe we should all get brand new wu`s to do during the competition and NONE get verified until after it has ended and then find out who has done the best when all wu`s have been verified. Will it be better? many more new wu`s done during the competition and nobody suffering the "pending" wait, win win i think

I do not set the que higher, I just set the resources higher. BOINCStats allows -through BAM!- for a max of 10,000%, I now have it at 5,000% and most other of my projects at either 10, 100 or 1,000%

Hi Punchy + GrandPa, ok makes more sense now. I'm a S@H-guy, in this crunching project we only need a two computers for making a validation of a WU. I never thought of a 3way check. IMHO this is an unbalanced behaviour for crunching events. But i will not complain. Especially not about my amount of crunching computers.
@Punchy: These competitions are made for compete with top-notch crunchers. We spend a lot of effort, money and a little bit of crazyness for these events. So, you are welcome ... but dont be jealous Thx for this great event [H]ard|OCP. And ... Grandpa, i hope for a revenge

I guess I'm one of the more than a few that ended up with a huge queue of WUs. Blame me if you want, but be sure to copy DA and ask for more user control of WU queues. It's like vodoo trying to figure out how to get WUs when you need them, then suddenly you have more than you want. It should be affecting everyone the same, so I don't think it's affecting the outcome of the challenge. The good news, we all get Constellation credits coming in for a while after the challenge.

I don't blame anyone, Constellation can be a hard one to run, I have Internet drops and constellation does not like it when it is uploading and the internet drops. Every running WU on the machine it is happening on will error out and that is usually 64 at a time so I have to keep at least a 1 1/2 day cache of work and baby sit the computers when I allow them to upload it takes me approximately 5 hrs to get them all uploaded and download a full cash of work. So as you can Imagine I do not run Constellation all that often. But the fun of a challenge does make it worth it.
