Just curious if there could be an option (or adjustment) for the World Position stats pages which will hide inacative accounts.

At the moment, even around rank 200,000 I'm just passing hundreds of accounts showing zero's in their credit per day/week/month stats.

Maybe hide/suspend accounts when month total hits zero (or no login activity), maybe close accounts after 3 months incativity? prewarned with email to account holder for fairness, etc. (free up precious server space)
It'll also give us a good idea to the amount of people who are currently crunching for projects.

It's kewl to be jumping 10,00 positions per day but sems a little pointless too.

Thanks!

It might be a nice idea, to have a filter

Thanks, I just thought it would be a good idea, get a more realistic figure of where you rate alongside active & live user.

Main thing is too IF someone has an account suspended or erased and they return later, credits are all stored by individual projects and BAM would just pick up where it left off and the user will lose nothing.

Just broke into the top 100K in world position with 108,000+ creds.

Still passing lots of "dormant" accounts, more than fourty in the 100 positions above my current position.

Is a filter or hidden accounts possible or would it start to screw with BAM credit figures???

I don't think this is necessary, the inactive crunchers have contributed to science so they should be on the list. And RAC was designed especially for this annoyance, If you don't crunch you will quickly sink to the bottom of the stats. Also, you can't send emails to inactive crunchers unless they have a BAM account, so I don't think it's worth the trouble.
