Hi.

Yesterday I saw "NaN" in my team and country position for this project. Today Albert@home has disappear from my statistics. I have got into the Albert@Home official page and my statistics are ok.

Albert along with Einstein have ENABLED GDPR Privacy rules.

Here is the link to change your PRIVACY SETTING & GDPR INFO at Albert:

Make sure Do you consent to exporting your data to BOINC statistics aggregation Web sites? is set to Yes and do not forget to SAVE the changes.

Allow at least 24 hours for your stats to re-appear here and at other stats sites after your changes are made at Albert & Einstein.

Not a bug.

Albert@home doesn't export users and their hosts when the user didn't give consent to do so. Only 42 users of the 2415 did so. All the others were removed from the export and consequently from BOINCstats as well. All the Albert@home data from these users was removed from BOINCstats. That includes histories! They are gone and can't be recovered. Rules of the GDPR.

Be warned: Einstein@home will require consent as well and will remove users without consent from the export starting December 17th!

All projects that update to the latest BOINC web code will get the option to enable this setting. I don't know which ones will do it.

@ Willy: do you which version that is? I looked at this page https://boincstats.com/en/page/projectStatusInfo, but the column Software version seems a bit outdated.

Congratulations Willy for the announcement of the projects that apply the GDPR and the notice to project owners for notifying when they include this topic.

I noted the message concerning GDPR and Einstein a few days ago and went in and granted permission. Several days ago I started running Einstein on a repaired laptop and also granted permission..... This morning all Einstein stats are gone, gone, gone..... On December 17 my Einstein standing was 91.835%!!! Today it is gone. I have no doubt that somewhere in the process of giving permission (twice) I probably clicked something incorrectly. This is NOT a rant at Einstein/BOINC/et al...… As I stated, I probably, twice, clicked something incorrectly. I am posting this for everyone to review their GDPR settings for applicable sites and make sure you gave permission correctly.

After being at over 91% in Einstein I don't feel like starting over, so I guess I will reset that laptop to SETI only.

If you consent your stats will be added again without any credits lost. You won't have your history though.

Thank you for your timely response. After my last posting I went back in and redid the consent. As of this morning a lot of the stats are back in just as you indicated. The graphs are totally out of whack, but that is understandable; pie charts show nothing about Einstein but you indicated the history would be gone. I understand.

Two comments: 1) The fact that you take your time to read postings and comment and/or provide solutions means a great deal. It makes me feel we are part of a team searching for answers instead of just another nameless person with a PC.
2) I try and check the forum every day or so.. I read your postings about GDPR and that is when I went in and gave permission(even though I screwed that up). I believe that any project that we are processing for has our email...from when we signed up to work their project. It would seem to me that it would be appropriate for any project making such a drastic change as GDPR send out an email to all of their team to tell them what is happening instead of letting people find out by 'accident.'

Again, thanks

Hi Willy, what do you mean by 'history'?

I was just wondering how you know, if you re-add a user that has got X credits, the user did Y credits for the team A and Z credits for the team B. So X >= Y+Z.
I would call it 'team history'.
