When I log into my BAM account then try to adjust my user/team sig colours I get the stats for Boincstats team. See below.

url's are:-
http://www.boincstats.com/bam/signature.php?type=user
http://www.boincstats.com/bam/signature.php?type=team&style=banner

I thought I should get my own sig banner but in new choice of colour.

Also, when I click on 'My Detailed Stats I get this error message:-

'User CPID doesn't exist in BOINC combined stats or doesn't have any credit.'

Are these two problems linked? Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I did have a problem last night where Team Evo was no longer being recognised by the stats but that has been sorted today.

Thanks for any help or guidance you can give.

As long as there is no CPID linked to your BAM! account the default sig is that of the BOINCstats team.

Try resetting your CPID, or wait until the automatic CPID update links your CPID to your account.

I did try that Willy but nothing seems to happen. My CPID stays the same. Could this be the lack of response from WCG when it tries to contact that project. BAM still sees me as being a member of the Scottish BOINC Team there and it won't let me retire from it, regardless of the fact that I'm not in that team anymore and my user stats show all my credit and has me in the correct team. See my sig.

Another oddity I've noticed is my BAM account indicates that no stats are available for ABC@home yet those stats also show in my user/team stats. Could this be part of the problem too?

A further discovery that may help to identify the exact problem.

I've discovered that BAM has my CPID as 563b7fb84046395b3ea0b2f24de7875c but, when I check all my separate project accounts, I find they all have my CPID as 9a555f7ae8e680d27e49a36d55f6ef02

I have tried the 'Renew CPID' feature but my BAM CPID stay the same. Is it possible for BAM techies to set this up manually or, can anyone help me resolve the problem. As can be seen from my sig box I am being credited with all my stats, it just seems to be the BAM side that is not accepting me as me!

Could I resolve it by creating a new BAM account linked to my BOINC account No? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

EvoDude,

Possibly a silly question, but are you using BAM! to control any of your computers? Or are you just using it to interface with the projects?

The reason is that your computer should synch the ID's when it talks to BAM! and the projects (I believe), which it won't do if connected to the projects using 'traditional' means.

Hi old friend. Thanks for the pointer - I don't think I use BAM to control the projects. How would I tell other than to try to remember how I done it originally. Can I move them to BAM control now without messing all my username/team, links?

If you connect BOINCManager to BAM! (Tools : Attach to Account manager) it should simply recognise what projects are attached and the computer will run as before -but your CPIDs should synchronise.

Thanks again MacDitch. I've done all that. I've also clicked the 'reset CPID' and then gone to BOINC manager and told it to 'synchronise with BOINCstats BAM!'

Nothing seems to have changed, the 2 different CPID no's still exist and I still get the default sig banner. I take it nothing will be apparent until BOINCstats communicates with all the projects.

EDIT:- Just came back to say "Thank You very much MacDitch" Your solution has worked perfectly - as you can see from the early post my banners are working perfectly. That's a wee dram I owe you.

PS Hope that great result at Ibrox suited you today mate.

^^This isn't me. I triple checked my member number and sorted through faqs and other related posts and nothing seems to be helping.

I understand "each new bug, new thread" BUT this is the same bug diff person.

If it's the same bug then it's the same fix.

If you follow the instructions MacDitch gave me then it should sort.

Start with your BOINC Manager, that is your client on your PC, and under tools tab, connect it to Account Manager. Instructions here

Then follow all the instruction here to connect your projects to your BAM account.

Good luck.

You misused your BAM! id as your BOINCstats ID. Those are not the same. Here is your sig
