When attempting to view the Sig Picture I just get an Error Message (Text) from my FireFox Browser that the Image cannot be displayed since it contains errors (?)

Yesterday I updated PHP and related packages on the server, including the graphics module. It seems like the new version no longer has support for PNG type images (which is, of course, the type I used).

I changed the image type to GIF, and now the signature works again.

Well, that's probably because I'm running a (so called) unstable version of Debian. Now why would I do that?

The server has a AMD AthlonX2, and I wanted a 64bit OS and support for dual core. In addition, I like the Debian Linux distro a lot. But the Debian 64bit distro is not available as stable version yet.

One can expect some small problems when running unstable, new versions of software are tested in it.

Sig graphics seem to be broken again. I see an error message about user CPID being incorrect. This even happens in the example on the FAQ page, as well as with other people's posts on the forums, so I know it's not just my sig image. The team images are apparently OK.

Could it be because an update is in progress? If so, is it hung for some reason?

EDIT: Never mind, they're fine again now. Guess it was just the update, and I happened to see them at a bad time.
