I am running four PCs. Let me take you through the sequence, if that helps: 1. Log into BOINC. 2. Click on Link to users host stats and it lists ALL four hosts. 3. If I then click on BAM and then click on HOSTS, it lists three of the four hosts. 4. If I then click 'show all hosts' it lists all four, but the 4th host is displayed in RED and is marked with a RED X. NOTE: I am currently running ONLY MILKYWAY. The production credits are currently few to none because of server problems at MILKYWAY. This situation with BAM and the RED host has been happening for a long time.

I suspect that I did something incorrectly long ago, but I have no idea what.... Thanks in advance for assistance. JB

The following hosts have not communicated with BAM! for a long time and will be removed from our database when they do not communicate within one week. Please note that this does not affect your statistics in any way!

Trying to match up I discovered the Host SETI-Dedicated was not associated with BOINC/BAM. This computer name was an artifact of way back when that PC was used ONLY for doing SETI work. It was showing up in BAM listing all of the credits in Milky Way, but was in RED. I tried to get it matched up to BAM but could not.

So then I tried to re-input to Boinc the PC using the regular computer name of: XPS8930-Main-EDC66PJ It joined with BOINC and BAM, but now I am afraid I will loose all credit from the time that the computer name was SETI Dedicated. Thousands of items processed. To make it even more complicated, I am now longer able to open the BOINC stats after I changed. I am out of ideas.

Additional note: I reinstalled BOINC and can now pull up work in progress. BUT...I cannot determine if the processing is being done under the old computer name or SET or the original computer name.

As a week has passed since receiving the message about deletion of a host, the host should have been deleted by now.
'Your statistic are not affected' means that the machine's credit is still there, but not associated to a machine.

Thanks @gemini8 for taking the time to clarify. Yes, it worked out. Certainly will make me think twice in the future before I change the name of one of my computers! I am getting some high production numbers that are not attributed to the now corrected list of hosts, but the is probably caused by Milkyway working through issues from their down time, and the 'extra' production numbers are probably from the old host name which is not listed. Again, thanks. JB
