I'm running gentoo linux.

I run the gui client, add the manager with my password. It says it connects to the manager, and then it doesn't automatically add my projects to the list. The host appears in my Host list, but no projects are added to the gui.

Do you need more information to troubleshoot this? Thanks

Go to the Host list, click on your host, and tick the Attach checkbox for the projects you want. Then wait for BOINC to sync with BAM again, or manually make it sync (it's on Tools menu on the manager).

That worked perfectly, thank you very much for your time. Why don't they get added automatically?

It shouldn't add them automatically. The idea is not just attaching all projects to all computers. You can choose what projects on what hosts you want, by just changing the checkboxes.

On your Resources page you can select the "Attach new host by default?" option so every new host that connects through BAM! will attach to those projects automatically. (which is a smart thing to do, I remember reading somewhere in the forum that in order to keep all of your hosts and CPID aligned you either need one host attached to all projects you are attached to or all hosts attached to a common project [as a minimum: at least one common project between each host and at least one other host]. With a default attach, it's taken care of.)

The past couple of hosts I have attached to BAM! have not automatically attached to projects, 5.7.5 windows and 5.6.4 linux. These are the first hosts I have added since the per host resource shares were implemented.

I'll look into this. I have seen this too, so it needs fixing.
