In my opinion they are annoying. And a user without Javascript can't see the date of last change. Also, I can't select and copy the '12:34:56 ago' indicator.

In my opinion they are annoying. And a user without Javascript can't see the date of last change. Also, I can't select and copy the '12:34:56 ago' indicator.

That's unfortunately true with the change.
But you can select the ago-line:
mark the line with the mouse with pressed button, keep pressing and hover it to the last right letter.
At one point the line just changes before the marking can jump over to the the following ones.
Now you can copy it!

Might be fixed by adding <noscript> to re-add those for people without JavaScript. Truthfully, the number of people having a browser that does not understand JavaScript is going to be fairly low (w3schools.com says over 94% have it enabled, as of last month). Therefore, it makes more sense to have it than not.

Other way around, people don't disable Javascript because a lot of sites aren't even remotely usable without it.
