how do i know if i set everything up right and how do i know if its working? i'm trying to join 4 projects to run in the background
i think i have followed all the steps but would like to be sure as this is a new computer and i'm still learning. Thanks for any help.

If you're using Windows, you should see the BOINC icon (a yellow B in a blue circle) down in the system tray.

If you double click that, it'll bring up BOINC manager.

Here are screen shots of what the two different views (Simple versus Advanced) look like with a running work unit. Click for full sized.















If yours doesn't look like either of those, post back either a screen shot or a written description and someone will be able to help you.

Thank you, i dont see it i may have deleted it because i would get it to connect it was getting very late that night. idont see it lasted so i'll try to reinstall it. I think it was having a problem with port 80? maybe my firewall was stopping it. I'm still learning how this computer does things. I lost the link that bought me here, there was an Skype link for live help.
