I have started to (re)build the SETI-stats of our team
Seti@Netherlands to "their former glory".
The first action was to rebuild the "statsengine" that reads the Berkeley Data. The software that was used didn't work very good and needed a complete rebuild. This part has been completed and works very good now.
The next step is to build and fill the history! I am working on the base (mysql)structure now and thought it would be great to have more historical info than when I finish the code (my "alfa code" is now storing the history as of first of march..).
Are you willing/able to supply a "data dump" of all your user and team data of the BOINC project SETI@HOME? (not the 'hosts data', this is a bit too much for us right now..)
"Most wanted" are:
- TC 'total credit'
- RAC 'Recent average credit'
per month (if possible per day). More information is (extremely) welcome since each 'history stats run' takes us about two hours, which would mean 5 years = 5 x 365 x 2 hours = 5 months 24/7.
24/7 cannot be done on our webserver because of continuous high load.. so it would probably take at least a year to complete the history build-up.
If possible / doable:
- world position on TC
- world position on RAC
- team position on TC
- team position on RAC
- country position on TC
- country position on RAC
OK, this is "my wish list", depending very much on what you are willing to do and (maybe even more) on what is possible and doable (for instance I can't make a guess on the size of a data dump..)
Hope to hear from you, best regards,
Eesger Toering
(as "statsmaster" for team Seti@Netherlands)
