I'm looking for people who want to translate BOINCstats into their language.

I have only two requirements for the 'job':
- You may only translate BOINCstats into your native language
- You have to be a BAM! member

At the moment there are about 900 short sentences, 220 country names and about 50 larger texts.

The translation is done in an easy to use tool which is integrated into BAM!.

Hello, I would like to help with translation and I can help with two languages at once. I am Slovak, so I would like to make more comfortable this web for my neiborhoods and also as I work in Czech republic I can help with Czech translation as well.

So if I can help I will do that with all of my interest. )

I thought that Slovak and Czech used the same language, you were one country up until a few years ago. Are they a lot different?

One must be very careful with these two. They wouldn't separate if they were one nation In Poland there are many products, that apart from Polish have Chech and Slovak descriptions on labels, and I can tell you, there are diffirences.

Hi, it was very usefull to have one common country but the languages was and are different. We had a common TV broadcast at 7.30 pm: NEWS and also some talk show and fairy-tales but these days are gone. If I can compare many children from each country are not able to understand the main words e.g. fairy-tales translated to Czech is pohádka but in Slovak it is rozprávka. This is very nice example.

So to anwer your question: YES, the languages are different. You will see the differencies during my translation ...

What is the need I have to do to receive files to translate? Can you please provide me with info?

Taiwanese is different from Chinese. Chinese normally refer to "Manderine",
but in terms of feature, and localisation, two languages has a lot of differences.
especially in some technical terms. Two languages use totally different volcaburary
sometimes.

Althought most Taiwanese people will understand the meaning of
this translation (about 85% ~ 90%), but some phrases are not
what Taiwanese people will use.

The one I'm translating is mainly for the Hong Kong people, there are little differences between the Chinese use in Hong Kong,Taiwan and the mainland China.

I would love to have you onboard, because then other Spanish people with a problem with English can still use BOINCstats.

Is there another language that is better for you then English, like Italien or German? Once I know this, I will set up the tool for you. Trust me, it's easier then you think.
