Since I'm quite familiar w/ Linux and BOINC, this question might sound stupid.
But the both of them combined is new to me. Well...

I finally got boinc running and connected to BAM but whilst connecting to my projects, every single one of them tells me:

platform 'i386-pc-linux-gnu' not found

Can anyone help?

Strange.
I run BOINC on Linux as well, and I have no problems with Seti, Einstein, Predictor (OK, now it's closed, but for all), SAP (so presumably CPDN as well), WCG, Rosetta.
I had problems with QMC and Chess, but with a lib, not with DL.
Never crunched Tanpaku and Xtreme afaik only on Win.

I would think that the message means that no Lin-app is available, not that no WU is available. Strange.

I never had such problems, so perhaps it's something completely different.

Aber nichtsdestotrotz, fröhliches Vollgascrunchen!

(schon mal bei den rechenkraftlern im forum nachgefragt?)

G'day Frank

I think the normal supported platform is i686. That old 386 is just too old to cut the mustard

Did you compile your own client?

I'm pretty sure that this is the problem, causing your client to incorrectly report itself. Try installing the standard linux client from the BOINC pages and see if this fixes your problem.

I think, I know where the problem was. The CHOST Flag was set to 'i386-pc-linux-gnu'. But I think the problem resolved itself. The Notebook seems to have given up for good...

Thanks for the support guys
