I have set my preference to "Run Always" yet my computers, when set to Run based on preferences, still give me this message: 10/11/2006 10:49:45 AM||Suspending computation - user is active.

Any idea how to fix this?

what version of BOINC are you running and one what platform? (windows, mac..) sometimes restarting the comp can fix this issue.

I've got the opposite problem; I have my prefs set to run only after 5 mins of idleness, on only one processor, and BOINC doesn't listen. I'm using the latest client, 5.4.11, Windows XP latest updates, and am using BAM with SETI, CP.net and World Community Grid.
It's also ignoring my prefs about disk space, not letting me download CP.net workunits because of the lack of space even though my preferences allow for 10gbs of use. I've gone around to all the projects and made sure the preferences are set correctly, and they are.
It looks like the problem is that it's refusing to download new preferences. How can we force it to do that?

Check the manager, menu Activity. It should say Run based on preferences, not Run always.

pianoplayerontheroof - chek the "keep % of disk free" setting. I had to set it to .1%
