Im running version 4.03 now of the Boinc core client.
Climate prediction requires 4.03.
But the rest of the projects require 3.20.
Does anybody have any clue about when berkely plans to release the "good" version of 4.03?
I would like to have just 1 core client wich is able to run all the projects.

In the not too distant future, S@H and Predictor will move to 4.x. At this point you will get your wish to have one core. Major versions are not cross compatible.

S@H is now using 4.05, not 4.03.

oww... didn't notice it... can I just install the newer version 4.05 over 4.03 even if I 'm still processing workunits??? (assuming that I'll suspend the current in progress and close out BOINC)...

Thanks.

You can install 4.05 over 3.2x, but all projects will be reset. You will lose the work you've done. If you're still crunching SAH units with 3.2x: you can't upload these anymore, so stop wasting CPU-time and reset the SAH project.
Predictor still runs on 3.2x. If you have a Predictor account, I suggest you stick with 3.2x for now, as SAH is having trouble getting WU's out, and climate prediction has no work available.

@Willy, i have already replaced 3.2 with 4.03 around August 30 and crunching work units for that version... so it was already reset to accept v4.03 units... have you kept your installation of v3.2 or already at 4.05?

I made a backup of 3.2 before upgrading. 4.05 doesn't get work (SAH: No scheduler/no work, Climate: no work).

I'm running the CLI version from 3.2 at the same time, crunching Predictor units.

I only updated one PC, I'll do the others when this one is running 100%.
