I've read the FAQ here

but it seems to have been 5 or so days and my BOINC stuff has not seemed to sort itself out....

Seems I have 2 BOINC accounts...one with all my CPDN the other with the rest! Had to reattach to CPDN the other day but Ive got Predictor and LHC on the machine...

One seems to have had all my CPDN results stolen from it... :? at least from credit per day which happens to be in minus numbers...<!--emo&-->

Just thought I'd point it out!

In order to get the CPID the same across projects the email accounts must be exactly the same including case. There must also be a path from server to client to server that gets to all of the projects. If CPDN is running on one machine that is not attached to the others, then its CPID will get set correctly.

Ah but my email IS exactly the same.

I believe as soon my first Predictor comes back on line I can get it sorted..

Otherwise I'll add SETI to get it back on then come back off SETI (dislike the objective...)

Had a upload from Predictor. Still hasn't fixed.

Added SETI in the hope that that might force it to change...

Been like this for days now. Slightly unhappy <!--emo&-->

Still have 2 accounts but have upload many Predictor and Einstein results with no recombining.

All PC stats remain the same etc etc.

It is your LHC account that doesn't line up.

I'm afraid you remain unhappy until LHC starts up again.

Ok.
Will I have to connect to LHC for it to sort itself out? and whats i wrong with it to not line up?

Yes, LHC has not been told about the new CPID, and to do so, you must have a completely successful connection with them.

Isn't LHC's scheduler up, even though they have no work available? Would a connection to the scheduler be enough of a connection to sync up the CPID's?

Thats what I have hoped.
I've connected to project again. Hopefully sort it soon.

Unfortunately, with the current version of the server code if there is a request for work, then the server must agree to send work before some other pieces of the transaction can finish (including the CPID update). So, no, at this point, the project must be up and handing out work to update the CPID. (unless they have upgraded to the latest development version of the server which has this fixed).

Would you mind giving a list of each computer and which projects it is attached to? Along with which internal CPID is used in each (I don't need the long string, just A, B, C...). The client_state.xml file has a copy of teh CPID, the sched_request*.xml files have a copy of the CPID, and the sched_reply*.xml files have a copy of the CPID if a new one is found at the server.

I just changed my email used for all projects.
Would if that will sort it.

That still won't help if there is one machine that is isolated from the rest, project-wise.

That is, if you have something like this:

Machine A
SETI
Einstein

Machine B
Einstein
Predictor

Machine C
LHC

Then CPID will never get worked out, since machine C will never sync up with any of the other projects. To resolve this, there needs to be a way for all projects to chain to all machines. In this example, adding Predictor to machine C would work. Also, having one machine with all your projects would work.

But I only have one machine on Pirates, Predictor and LHC now.

As of 0929 GMT it seems sorted.
Cheers!

I wish I could say the same! Will keep waiting a further week to see what happens, my CP stats are still on a seperated ID...
