Which version of BOINC are you running? Also, is the MAC 64bit only, or are there separate 32bit and 64bit versions? Berkeley is waiting for 10.5 to come out before making a 64bit client for the MAC. There are also some other security changes that apple did to OS10.5 that required code changes to be made to the current MAC client to be compatible.

Correct. Leopard could be considered still unsupported by BOINC, just like Vista was a few months ago.

you can get the latest beta version of BOINC from here:
http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/?C=M;O=D
Note that these are not always stable.

Whatever you do, don't get BOINC 6.1.0. That version is not for the public; not even for alpha-testers; only for the devs to test the new graphics API.

might explain why it only works on XP and 64bit windows for me... install fails "service did not respond in a timely fasion" on both 32bit server 2003 and 2008. 32bit XP and 64bit server 2003 / 2008 work fine. I do not have 32bit or 64bit vista.

Right.. for all users that may be beta testing 10.5 Leopard right now,

CPN is totally unusable. just dies after a couple of minutes.

The only usable one right now is the World Community Grid..

Testing Einstein right now. and now retesting Rosetta after a couple of OS updates.

Just letting everyone using Mac pre Leopard release end of next month..

Will keep testing to let users know.

fyi - BOINC 5.10.21 for ALL major platforms is now out (MAC, Win 32/64, linux 32/64) This is a beta version and *may* be unstable, though I have had no problems with the windows 32bit or 64bit versions
